Just to let you know that the spreadsheet that came with todays selections seems to be in “read only mode” which does not allow to make any price adjustments in the event of non runners. Is there anything I have to do first that I may have overlooked?

To use the speadsheet to calculate the revised value prices in the event of a non-runner, just put an “x” in the Yellow highlighted column next to the horses name…in todays race(why beggars belief!) there are 3 non-runners, so put an “X” next to Blessed Place, then Mazzola, then Peopleton Brook…and the new prices will appear. We have updated the daily selections on the site to reflect these also. Regards Steve R.

Todays race has been updated on the site with the new value prices to reflect the 3 non runners.
Regarding yesterdays results, we report the results using the reported betfair sp and there were 3 runners across the two rated races that had the value prices(after reduction factors for non-runners) matched or exceeded.
Could you confirm which spreadsheet facility you have on your pc and we can check with Steve R. regarding the technical side

I started back at work today after being away spending some of last year's profits on a trip for my wife and myself - very nice .
Thoroughly agree with your patience and selectivity and this is without question one major factor in realising consistent profit return from horse race betting / trading . I was on your selection today with a sizable three way dutch which rounded off an excellent full house of three wins in the bin for me on the day - less savers - always quit when ahead .
Look forward to your selections as and when they arise and wish you well for 2011 .

Spreadsheet. I regret that I do not have a programme that will enable me to read Excel; so I cannot use your spreadsheet. Advice welcomed.
I should also be grateful if you would explain how yesterday’s betting resulted in a loss of only 3 points.
